One of the wondrous things about homeschooling that I did not anticipate was the role that Z's grandparents would play in teaching him things I am not very good at...

Z's aajoba sits with him 2-3 times a week and reads Marathi books with him, teaches him vocabulary and recently, has started teaching him how to use the Marathi-English dictionary.

My mom used to bake a LOT when we were kids and has found a renewed interest in the same because of her grandson. She went and bought herself a new oven and now Z and his nani bake every weekend.

So far they have made, cookies, doughnuts and muffins... There is so much to learn from baking- procedures, being precise, measurement, passage of time, patience... and not to mention the satisfaction of eating something you made with your own hands!
